CORNWALL Cornwall is renowned for it’s sandy beaches and surf ready waves, but it has so much more to offer.
From our base in St Agnes, we visit the magnificent late Victorian Lanhydrock House and Gardens in Bodmin, where we are free to explore at leisure the beautiful gardens and the two sides of this Victorian stately home, from the “below stairs” kitchens,
nurseries and servants quarters to the luxurious family areas, elegant dining room and spacious bedrooms for the “upstairs” living. We also head to the centre of Cornwall and visit the “little city” of Truro, a traditional market town which offers retail
therapy, cultural and architectural delights, including the Gothic Revival Cathedral for us to explore before continuing on to The Lost Gardens of Heligan. We have included a guided tour of the main features and then we are free to explore the network of
magical gardens, woodland walks and farmland brimming with interest and intrigue. We also take a scenic ride to the seaside town of Padstow, famous for it’s seafood restaurants and links to the celebrity chef Rick Stein, allowing free time to explore this
quaint market town before we head up to Prideaux Place, a magnificent Elizabethan Manor House perched above Padstow harbour, we have a guided tour of the house and it’s rooms, which are still in use by the Prideaux family, before exploring the beautiful gardens and Deer Park. We have also included a full day to explore St Ives – the dazzling jewel in Cornwall’s crown. A picturesque fishing harbour and seaside town with a quartet of golden beaches, World famous art scene, home to the Tate, Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, with ample time to wander through the maze of narrow cobbled streets, independent shops and
fisherman’s cottages in the heart of St Ives.
